When my peony starts growing every spring, I normally pull it up and give it to a friend. This year, when I was digging it up, I saw that there was a bud on one of the stalks so I left that side alone. Within a week, I had this beautiful bloom to enjoy. It smells quite lovely in my home and we are amazed at how large it is.
