Dalton came to me Thursday night asking if he could go to a dance/party that a girl he knew was having for her birthday. The party was to be at the Corvette Museum. When I called the mother of the girl Dalton was going to meet at the party to ask what proper attire would be, I learned there would be a Hollywood theme and that everyone was dressing up for the party. In fact, the mother said her daughter was wearing a formal! Now, Dalton is pretty much only seen in basketball shorts and white t-shirts. This mother actually told me she didn’t think she had ever seen Dalton in pants. She also said that nice jeans would be appropriate. Whew! I only needed to find a shirt and tie…Dalton could wear a pair of Ric’s shoes.
Fast forward to Saturday afternoon…
Dalton truly dislikes having his picture taken. Well, how could I send him off all dressed up and not take a few photos! I talked him into going outside with me and managed to get seven (yes, seven) shots. He wasn’t up to doing anything like “posing”, but did show me his thinker, his angry face, and even stood still for a couple of smiles. Oh, and those shoes, they belong to a friend of Dalton’s. He wouldn’t even go for dress shoes!
