I recently participated in the ArtWorks, Inc. 8th Annual Members Only Exhibit. This year, the exhibit is at the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center at WKU. If you have a chance, go by and take a look at the show. It features thirty-five local artists sharing a variety of genres and there’s just a little bit of everything there. It’s a great exhibit and you’ll not be disappointed if you take a tour. You have until July 17 to view the show and it’s open Monday through Friday.
My pieces, Whispers and Touched by Rain were both something a bit different for me. Yes, I do a lot of macro photography of flowers, but with these, I added texture to one and did the other in black and white. I rarely do either of these, but felt I should give it a try this time. I’ve received great feedback for Whispers, so you just might see this style from me again one day.
If you do stop by the exhibit, let me know what you think. Also, if you’re interested in learning more about ArtWorks, or you’d like to become a member, click on the link above to do so.
