Hanging With Trooper | Southern Kentucky Equine Photographer

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

I had another opportunity to hang out with Trooper for about an hour yesterday. He is truly a sweet horse just longing for attention. Once again, I managed a couple of full body shots, but mostly I got more close-ups of the guy. He just wanted his nose rubbed.

There’s nothing like having a horse pretty much in your backyard here in Bowling Green. Fun!

Exhibit Pieces | Fine Art Photographer Bowling Green KY

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

Many of you have seen the images I’m sharing now, but I wanted to post them as a group to spread the word about two exhibits going on now.

First, there is the Public Art Hanging at The Gallery at 916. Head to downtown Bowling Green and stop in the gallery to vote for your favorite images. Votes are $1 each and the proceeds go to support CASA. What a great way to support our local community! I have two pieces in this exhibit and there are many other great images there from many local artists.

Second, there is the US Bank Celebration of the Arts that is on display at The Kentucky Library & Museum on the campus of WKU. There are many mediums on display here and all are gorgeous. I have two photography pieces here as well. Stop in and support the museum and local artists when you are looking for something to do one afternoon. While you’re there, you just might like to take a walk around the beautiful WKU campus.

Many of the pieces at each exhibit are available for purchase. Yet another opportunity to support the local art community!

My pieces at The Gallery at 916 are:

A River Runs Through It

For the Celebration of the Arts, I entered the following pieces:

Chasing Waterfalls
Gently Held

Ten Minutes From Home | Bowling Green KY Photographer

Sunday, February 19th, 2012

My Project 52 assignment for the week was Ten Minutes from Home. Since I live in Bowling Green, sometimes ten minutes from home can be a mile away. This week, however, was a slow traffic week and ten minutes from home took me to Three Springs Park on a beautiful foggy morning, with just enough sun coming through to make everything gorgeous. I snapped many shots of the overly friendly geese that call the pond (or is it a small lake?) their home, but my favorite shot of the morning was the one I chose to use for P52 and I’m sharing with you now. I hope you find the peace and tranquility from this image that I found. Zen!

Strings | Fine Art Photographer Bowling Green KY

Monday, February 13th, 2012

Many of you know that I’m participating in a Project 52 as well as a 365+1 in 2012. Well, I’ve also decided to take on a 50 With My 50. That’s a photo each day with my 50mm lens for 50 days. I’m not sure why I’ve taken on three projects, but they are certainly keeping me on my toes!

Here is one of my recent faves from my 50 With My 50 set.

I’m sharing a couple more favorites from my 365+1 Project. Sound and Close Up. These are actually images from two different weeks, but I think they go together quite nicely.

Sound ~ Day Five

Close-up ~ Day Three
