Colors of the Holidays | Bowling Green KY Photographer

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

Project 52 is coming to a close for 2011. I must say, at times it’s been difficult to keep up with taking a photograph each week. I wouldn’t have thought this in the beginning. I’ve gotten behind a couple of times, but have managed to catch up and I’ve only missed one week the entire year.

For the month of December, we’re doing holiday related themes. Week 49 was Jingle Bells and Week 50 is Red, White, and Green. Since we’re possibly not putting up a tree this year (I always enjoy sharing photos of my tree and ornaments), I thought I’d share these two images from P52 with everyone. We’ll see how the next two weeks shake out for me and I just might share those as well.

Mardi Gras! | Bowling Green KY Photographer

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

Normally Tasteful Tuesday, I changed it up a bit today for Mardi Gras. My fab cousin sent me some King Cake, tons of beads, Moon Pies, and Zapps chips. So, for Fat Tuesday, I thought I’d share some of it with everyone.

Happy Mardi Gras, Everyone!

Underneath | Bowling Green KY Photographer

Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Project 52 – Week 10 is Underneath. I really struggled with this one, as it’s still winter here and there are no butterflies, spiders, bright leaves, or anything that I would normally seek to photograph the underside. I was looking out the back door and noticed Cameron’s skateboard in the yard. I recalled that it had artwork on the underside and decided that would be my image for Underneath. My processing is a bit different than normal on this one, but I think it works with the image.

Skulls really rock a skateboard!

Things I Love Thursday is all about Reax…

I really, really don’t like shoes. Unless, of course, we’re talking flip-flops. If I must wear shoes, I prefer my Nike Reax. Can you say comfortable? I bought my first pair of Reax when I started Turbo Jam. Now, my eye is naturally drawn to them any time I’m near shoes in a store. Ric bought a pair of boots for me a couple months ago and literally had to make me look at boots because I kept staring at an awesome pair of black and pink Reax. I will have those one day! No, three pairs is not enough for me.
