Birthday Siblings | Child Photographer Bowling Green KY

Wednesday, February 27th, 2013

I know this pair is the cutest brother and sister you’ve seen! They are so sweet and I just loved being able to capture these images for their mom as the family is celebrating their birthdays this month. Miss {A} was especially funny when there was a cat around for her to talk to. And Mr {A}, well he was busy trying to decide what the purple flowers were that he was standing in while I was taking his picture. I’m so glad their mom decided to join in for a few of the photographs. Isn’t she just beautiful?

We’re working on another photo project for Miss {A’s} Gotcha Day in March and I cannot wait to share those with you as well.

Russell and Rachel | Engagement Photographer Bowling Green KY

Thursday, February 14th, 2013

Russell came into our family a few years ago when he and our son met and, almost instantly, became best friends. We love Russell as one of our own and look forward to all the future holds for him. When Russ told us a couple of months ago that he was engaged to Rachel, we were so happy for him. To then have this sweet couple ask if I would photograph their wedding was such an honor. I cannot wait to share their special day with them and then share it with you all.

In the meantime, we’ll celebrate Valentine’s Day with a couple of photos of Russell and Rachel from their engagement session. Aren’t they a beautiful couple?

Puppy Love | Pet Photographer Bowling Green KY

Back in August of 2012, American Idol came to Bowling Green, KY for a day of tryouts for the current season. A friend asked if I would like to go downtown and photograph some of the action. I did go, but didn’t take many photos of the singers and musicians. I was, instead, smitten with the furry friends who were hanging out with their families listening to the auditions. Here is a favorite from that day. I recently pulled it out to share with the Sunny Sixteen Photography Club for the Street Photography Challenge and decided I should share it here as well.

I had the pleasure of photographing Maggie and her sisters during the Thanksgiving holiday last week. These girls were a handful! This image of Maggie is one of my faves from the session. Keep an eye out for some fun images of the girls in the next few days. They were a hoot to work with!

I recently went to a farm with one of my photography students so we could walk around and photograph all the animals and scenery there. I met a few horses, some cattle, turtles, birds, and my favorites there, donkeys. Here is one of my fave images from the outing. This is Esther, a shy female who is ever so sweet. I’m a sucker for close up photos of eyes.

Red Rain Boots | Bowling Green KY Lifestyle Photographer

Wednesday, August 15th, 2012

You’ve met Badger and Archer, now meet Julie, the girl who started it all! My husband and I were taking a walk around Fountain Square here in Bowling Green and I looked up to see the sweetest little girl dancing around in these cute little rain boots that looked like ladybugs. I just knew I wanted to try and get a few shots of the girl, so I casually walked up and started photographing her on the sly. I captured a moment between her and her mom and went to show my husband. Her mom, Valerie, came up and introduced herself and asked if I was able to get any photos. I told her yes and she offered to let me take a few more as we were talking. Turns out she creates jewelry and had been a vendor at the street fair that day. I just let Julie do her thing, not really even wanting to photograph her sweet face, though it would have been a plus if I had gotten it. Here are a few of my faves from my time hanging out with Julie and her family.

P.S…Valerie and I are now discussing working together using her jewelry making skills and my photography to offer something special to our clients. Stay tuned for the details!

I met Badger when I was walking around in downtown Bowling Green at Fountain Square Park. She was recently adopted from the Barren River Animal Welfare Association in Glasgow and now has a forever home. She is a pit-bull mix and has the sweetest disposition. Don’t you just love her necklaces? Accessories do make the girl!
